1 (15 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry Jell-O
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges, drained
1 (8 oz.) carton small curd cottage cheese
1 (4 oz.) carton frozen Cool Whip, thawed

Pour the pineapple with its juice into a small saucepan; heat until juice comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Pour gelatin mix into large glass mixing bowl. Pour pineapple and juice into gelatin. Stir until gelatin is dissolved. Chill until cool and begins to thicken, about 2 hours. Stir in oranges, cottage cheese and whipped topping. Pour into an 8-inch square dish. Refrigerate until firm. Cut into squares and serve.
