LIVER CASSEROLE (MAKSALAATIKKO) 
1 c. rice
2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1 egg
2 tbsp. butter
1-2 onions, chopped
3 tbsp. corn syrup
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1/2 tsp. ground marjoram
1/2 to 3/4 c. raisins
3/4 lb. liver, ground

Boil rice in salted water about 20-30 minutes until tender. Saute onions in butter. Add all ingredients to rice. Stir. Pour into a buttered casserole dish. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Serve with melted butter and lingonberry sauce.
