MOM'S SUET PUDDING 
3 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger

Sift and reserve 1 cup for over fruit. 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. cut up dates 1 c. nuts 1 c. milk 2 eggs 1 c. raisins

Mix ground suet (not packed) with milk, brown sugar (or dark Karo, part sorghum or 1/2 molasses) and eggs. Mix dates, raisins and nuts with 1 cup reserved flour. Fill greased vegetable cans or small loaf pans 1/2 to 2/3 full. Cover tightly with foil. Place in covered roaster with water in bottom. Steam in oven 3 hours at 300 degrees or until done.
