AUNT MARY'S LEMON PIE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. hot water

Combine and cook until thick. Add 3 egg yolks, slightly beaten, 2 tablespoon butter, 4 tablespoons lemon juice and grated rind. Pour into baked pie shell and cover with meringue. Bake until meringue is browned.

MERINGUE:

3 egg whites
6 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar

Combine and beat until it forms stiff peaks.
