FAMILY RECIPE DROP BISCUITS 
2 cups flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup shortening
1 1/8 cup milk

Butter the cookie sheet and preheat oven to 425°F.

Stir flour, baking powder, and salt together until well sifted.

Add the shortening and mix well with a fork or potato smasher.

Add milk, stir well with a spoon.

Drop onto the buttered cookie sheet and bake for 14 to 16 minutes.

Makes the best fluffy soft drop biscuits.
