MOM'S EGG RIVAL POTATOES 
5 or 6 potatoes, diced
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 egg
1 c. flour

Cook potatoes and onion until almost tender. Put 1 cup flour in bowl. Break in 1 egg. Work egg in flour until it looks like tiny lumps. Add flour as needed; the finer the lumps the better. Add this to potatoes. You will need to add water, cook until egg rival is not doughy. Add some milk and butter. It burns easily so stir most of the time.
