MEAT BALLS 
2 lbs. ground beef
1/4 c. crackers or bread crumbs
1 egg
1 pkg. onion soup mix
2 tsp. oil
10 oz. apple jelly
1/2 c. blackberry wine
1 (14 oz.) bottle ketchup

Mix together ground beef, crackers, egg and onion soup mix. Spread 2 teaspoons of oil on a cookie sheet with sides. Form meatballs and place on cookie sheet. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

Mix together apple jelly, ketchup and blackberry wine. In a 4-quart casserole pan place the meatballs in the mixture. Let them simmer in oven for 25 minutes or place the meatballs in a 4-quart crockpot; add mixture. The longer you simmer in the crockpot, the better the taste.
