SCALLOPED POTATOES AND HAM 
6-8 med. potatoes
1 1/2 c. diced ham
1 med. chopped onion
1 can American grated cheese
1/2 to 1 stick butter
Salt
Pepper
Milk
Flour

Peel and slice potatoes. In a casserole or baking dish, layer potatoes, then ham and onions. Sprinkle with flour and grated cheese, salt and pepper (3 or 4 layers or until used up). Slices of butter placed on each layer. After last layer, pour milk until even with potatoes. Temperature: 350 degrees. Time: Bake: 1 hour 15 minutes or 2 hours or tender.

Hints: The more flour you use the thicker the sauce. I pretty well cover layer.
