HOMESTYLE BAKED LASAGNA | |
3/4 lb. ground beef 3/4 lb. ground pork 3/4 c. chopped onion 1 clove garlic, crushed 2 c. water 2 (6 oz. each) cans tomato paste 1 tsp. parsley flakes 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 lb. lasagna 4 c. cottage cheese (2 lb.) 2 c. shredded Mozzarella (8 oz.) 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese 4 eggs 1 tbsp. parsley flakes Cook beef, pork, onion, and garlic until browned; stir in water, tomato paste, parsley, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes. Cook lasagna and drain well. Mix together cottage cheese, Mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, eggs, and parsley for filling. Pour 1/2 cup sauce over bottom of pan. Arrange in layers of filling mix, lasagna, and layer meat mixture. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake until hot, covered, then let stand 10 minutes. |
