OATMEAL COOKIES 
2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs (or egg substitute to equal 4 eggs)
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
5 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
3 c. raisins
3 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Cream together butter and sugars; add eggs and vanilla. Mix together flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda; add to creamed mixture. Mix in raisins and nuts. Make golf ball sized cookies, placing 2 inches apart. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. Makes 112 cookies.
