CHILE CON CARNE | |
1 lb. ground beef 2 ribs celery, chopped 2 cloves garlic, chopped 1/2 c. tomatoes (opt.) 1/2 tbsp. dry parsley 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper 1 tbsp. oil 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce 1 lg. can kidney beans, drained 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. sugar Brown meat in oil until it loses red color. Strain. Saute celery, onion and garlic about 15 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, cook 1 1/2 hours. Serve over rice. |
