CHERRY DESSERT 
1 can cherries, save juice
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg

Drain cherries, sift dry ingredients into large bowl and add egg, vanilla, and nuts. Stir and add cherries, mix well and put into greased baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Pour half of the glaze on warm cake.

GLAZE:

1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
Juice from cherries

Cook until thick. Add chunk of butter.
