PEANUT BUTTER BLOSSOMS | |
1/2 c. shortening 1/2 c. peanut butter 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 unbeaten egg 2 tbsp. milk 1 tsp. vanilla Cream together shortening and peanut butter. Add sugar and brown sugar, cream well. Add egg and milk. Blend in 1 3/4 cups sifted Pillsbury self-rising flour and mix thoroughly. Shape by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Roll in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and place a solid milk chocolate candy kiss on top of each cookie, pressing down so that the cookie cracks around the edge. Return to oven and bake 2 to 5 minutes longer. Makes 3 dozen cookies. |
