PINWHEEL FILLED COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon

FILLING:

1 lb. dates
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. nuts
1 tbsp. butter

Filling heated together.

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Then add eggs and mix thoroughly. Sift flour with soda, cinnamon, salt. Add to creamed mixture. Turn out and roll to 1/2 inch thick. Spread with filling and roll like a jelly roll. Put in cool place until hard enough to slice.

Slice off and bake 10 to 15 minutes in moderate oven.
