COOKIE PINWHEELS 
PASTRY:

1 c. butter, soft
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, soft
1/4 c. sour cream
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt

FILLING:

2 c. ground walnuts
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 egg
1 tsp. grated orange rind

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare pastry: Beat eggs, cream cheese in large bowl with electric mixer until creamy. Beat in sour cream. Stir in flour and salt until firm dough forms. Divide in half. Flatten each half into 4" squares. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate.

When dough is ready, prepare Filling: Combine nuts, sugar, cinnamon, egg and orange rind. Roll out half of pastry on floured surface to 9" square 1/4" thick. Spread 3/4 filling, roll up jelly roll style. Wrap in foil. Refrigerate 3 hours. Repeat with remaining pastry and filling. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Cut rolls into 1/4" slices, 1/2" apart. Bake 15 to 20 minutes. Cool in pan 10 minutes.
