6 tbsp. powdered sugar
6 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 c. sifted flour

Cream sugar and butter, add egg yolk and vanilla. Beat well and add flour. Place on ungreased cookie sheet by teaspoons. Bake 15 to 20 minutes in 350 oven. Especially good for beginner cooks.
