2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
4 oz. chocolate, melted
1 tbsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 c. nuts
1 c. raisins

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and chocolate; beat well. Add milk, nuts, raisins and vanilla; mix well. Add flour, salt and baking powder; blend well. Drop on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool. Frost.

CHOCOLATE BUTTER FROSTING:

6 tbsp. butter
4 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. light cream
2 oz. chocolate, melted

Cream the butter. Add 1/2 the sugar and chocolate, blending well. Beat in 2 tablespoons cream and vanilla. Blend in remaining sugar. Add enough cream to make spreading consistency.
