SALTED NUT BARS 
3 c. flour
1 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. salt
1 (12 oz.) can mixed nuts
1/2 c. light corn syrup
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. water
1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) butterscotch chips

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, 1 cup butter and salt. Blend well. Press into ungreased 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. In small saucepan, combine corn syrup, 2 tablespoons butter, water and butterscotch chips. Boil 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Sprinkle nuts over partially baked crust. Pour cooked mixture over nuts. Return to oven and bake additional 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Cut into bars. Makes 48 bars.
