1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening or butter
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 c. apple sauce
1 pkg. mince meat
2/3 c. pecans

Cream sugar, butter, and egg. In separate bowl mix flour, soda, salt, cloves, and cinnamon. Add about 1/3 of dry mix and 1/3 of the apple sauce to creamed mix and beat. Repeat until all is mixed. Add pecans and mince meat and stir well.

Pour in 9 x 9 greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 50 minutes.
