2 c. sugar 1 c. raisins 3 c. flour 1 c. butter or 3/4 c. shortening 1 c. sweet milk 4 eggs 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. cloves 1 tsp. allspice 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 c. walnuts Cream sugar, eggs and butter. Add all other ingredients. ICING: 2 c. sugar 1 c. water 2 lemons, rind & juice 2 tbsp. flour 2 c. coconut Cook all ingredients until thick. Bake in slow oven. Do not cut for one week. |
