PASTRY FOR FRIED PIES | |
2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt Milk 2/3 c. shortening 1 beaten egg Mix flour and shortening, cut in shortening until about size of peas. Add egg, then milk to form stiff dough. Roll, cut in desired size. Add cooked dry fruit, or filling of your choice. Pull dough over and seal edges firmly. Fry in deep fat until brown. |
