MILKY WAY® CAKE | |
8 MILKY WAY® Bars 1 c. butter (2 sticks) 2 c. sugar 4 eggs, separated 2 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/4 c. buttermilk Melt candy bars with 1 stick butter over boiling water. Cream sugar and remaining butter. Add candy mixture to this and stir. Add egg yolks one at a time, beating well after each addition. Dissolve soda in buttermilk, then add alternately with flour to candy mixture, ending with flour. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool and frost. FROSTING: (FOR CHOCOHOLICS!) : 2 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. evaporated milk 6 oz. chocolate chips 1 c. marshmallow creme 1/2 c. butter Cook milk, butter and sugar until soft ball forms in cold water. Add chocolate chips and marshmallow creme. Stir until smooth. |
