1/2 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. applesauce
2 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. allspice
2 tsp. baking soda in 1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. coconut

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and blend well. Add spices and flour and applesauce. Stir in 1/2 cup each of raisins, nuts, chocolate chips, and coconut. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
