VANILLA BUTTER NUT POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1/4 tsp. salt
4 eggs
3/4 c. canned milk
1/4 c. water
3 1/4 c. flour
2 tbsp. vanilla nut flavoring or 1 tbsp. butter flavoring and 1 tbsp. plain
flavoring (vanilla)

Cream butter, Crisco, sugar, and salt together thoroughly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour alternately with milk. Fold in flavoring until well blended. Start to bake in a cold oven. Set temperature at 325 degrees. Bake for 1 hour 45 minutes. Fills a large tube cake pan lined with wax paper. This recipe does not require soda or baking powder.
