BUTTER RUM CAKE 
CAKE:

1 box butter cake mix
1 (3 oz.) box vanilla instant pudding
1/2 c. Crisco oil
1 c. water
4 eggs
1 tsp. rum flavoring

BUTTER RUM SYRUP:

1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. rum flavoring
1/3 c. water

Make the syrup as soon as you take cake out of the oven.

CAKE: Mix well, bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until tested done. Best when baked in tube pan.

SYRUP: Mix; bring all ingredients to a boil, except rum flavoring. Cook until sugar is melted and butter. Remove from stove and add rum flavoring. Take the handle of a wooden spoon and put holes in cake, pour the syrup over cake.
