SUGARED PECANS 
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. white Karo syrup
2/3 c. Half and Half cream
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. pecan halves

Bring sugar, cream, Karo and salt to fast boil. Boil hard for about 5 minutes. Turn to low and add butter and well picked over pecans. Stir constantly. When candy forms a soft ball in cold water, remove from fire. Add vanilla and beat until mixture begins to get thick. Pour onto buttered marble slab and separate pecans with fork after it cools.
