CHOCOLATE PEANUT PIE
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1 2/3 c. undiluted Carnation evaporated milk
1 c. water
2 slightly beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. creamy peanut butter
1 chocolate flavored ready-prepared pie crust
2 tbsp. coarsely chopped peanuts

Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt in medium saucepan. Stir in evaporated milk and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened (do not boil). Add a small amount of cooked mixture to eggs. Mix well and return to saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture just comes to a boil and thickens. Remove from heat. Add vanilla; stir in peanut butter until melted. Spoon into crumb crust. Sprinkle peanuts over top. Chill completely before serving. Makes one 8-inch pie.
