8 c. sugar 2 cubes butter 2 c. Pet milk, canned 3 (8 oz.) jars marshmallow cream 3 (12 oz.) bags chocolate chips 2 c. nuts (optional) Before you begin, make sure you have someone to help you with this. It needs lots of muscle to stir it! Cook in a large pan: the sugar, butter and milk. Time this 15 minutes from the time you begin to cook it. Start your burner on high, then turn to medium-low when mixture begins to boil. Stir constantly or it will burn. In a separate bowl (I use a roaster pan) mix marshmallow cream, chocolate chips and nuts (sticky mess!). When 15 minute cooking time is up, pour hot mixture over ingredients in large bowl (roaster). Someone needs to stir as you pour and then you both need to stir until mixture is smooth and even. Pour onto a large jelly-roll pan which has been buttered. This sets up fast and can be cut into squares within 1/2 hour. |
