BREAKFAST CASSEROLE 
12 slices bread, trim crust and butter on one side
8 oz. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
1 lb. cooked and crumbled sausage
4 eggs, beaten
3 c. milk
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. salt

Place 6 slices bread in bottom of Pyrex or Corning dish. Sprinkle cheese and sausage on top, then next 6 slices of bread. Mix eggs, milk, mustard, and salt and pour over bread. Refrigerate overnight. In the morning, top with 2 cups crushed cornflakes that are tossed in 1/2 cup melted butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, uncovered. Will serve 10 to 12, depending on proportions.
