SWISS STEAK MOZZARELLA 
2 lb. beef round steak, 1/2 inch thick
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. butter
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. basil
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese (6 oz.)

Cut meat into serving size pieces; coat with flour. Melt butter in a skillet. Brown meat slowly on both sides. Put into a 12 x 8 inch baking dish.

Combine tomatoes, salt, basil, and green pepper. Pour over meat. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until meat is tender. Remove cover. Sprinkle with cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted. 8 servings.
