TACO BURGERS
1 lb. ground beef
1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
4 lg. lettuce leaves
8 hamburger buns, split, or 8 taco shells
1 c. shredded American or cheddar cheese
Taco sauce

Break up and brown ground beef; drain fat. Add tomatoes, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, sugar and garlic to skillet. Turn burner to high heat until boils, then lower heat. Simmer the meat mixture until thick. Takes about 10 minutes.

While meat cooks, rinse lettuce and cold water. Pat dry. Tear into bite-size pieces. To serve, put bottom of bun on plate. Spoon meat mixture, top with lettuce, cheese and other half of bun. Makes 8 sandwiches. Serve with taco sauce or spoon meat, lettuce and cheese into taco shell.
