DEVILED STEAK STRIPS 
1 1/2 lb. round steak
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic or garlic salt
1 tsp. horseradish
1 tsp. mustard
3 tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. tomato sauce
1 tbsp. vinegar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Trim excess fat from meat. Cut meat into thin strips about 2 inches long. Coat with flour. In skillet, brown meat, onion and garlic in melted shortening. Stir in 1 cup of water and tomato sauce, vinegar, horseradish, mustard, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 1 hour or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in remaining water. Heat and serve over rice.
