CINNAMON ROLLS 
1 c. milk
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 yeast cake
1/2 c. lukewarm water
1 beaten egg
4 c. flour

Scald milk, add shortening, sugar and salt. Cool to lukewarm and add yeast softened in lukewarm water. Add egg. Gradually stir in 3 cups flour. Let rise for 2 hours and then add the other cup of flour. Roll out thin. Spread a mixture of sugar, butter, raisins and cinnamon over dough, then roll up and slice in 1/2" pieces. Place in pans and let rise again and bake. Pour icing over rolls while hot.

ICING:

1/2 c. milk
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
