SOUR MILK GINGERBREAD | |
An old recipe from 1896. 1 cup molasses 1 cup sour milk 2 1/2 cups flour 1 3/4 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. ginger 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 cup melted fat Add milk to molasses. Mix and sift dry ingredients, combine mixtures, add fat, and beat vigorously. Pour into a greased shallow pan, and bake 25 minutes in moderate (350°F) oven. |
