Yes, add melted chocolate to the top, that is the recipe I grew up with and now my kids ask for it all the time (and they're adults now). I've also heard that you can add some graham crackers crumbs to the first part of the recipe to add some more 'authentic' flavor as well as adding a Tablespoon or so of peanut butter to the melted chocolate...
