CRANBERRY MUFFINS 
1 c. chopped raw cranberries
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. sour milk
1/4 c. melted shortening
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 slightly beaten egg

Combine cranberries and 1/2 cup sugar. Sift flour, salt, soda and remaining sugar. Mix egg, milk and shortening. Add to dry mixture and stir just until mixed. Add cranberries, mixing lightly. Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
