It is a rare treat to be served this luscious pudding at Allen and Adele's home at Christmas time. The lovely old house blooms with Christmas beauty, reflecting the love and warmth of the gracious hosts.

2 heaping cups cranberries, cut
1/2 c. sugar, pour over cut cranberries
1/4 c. light or dark syrup
1/4 c. molasses
1/2 c. hot water with 2 tsp. baking sodas
1 3/4 c. flour
Pinch of salt

Mix in order given. Pour into greased pan and steam for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Serve with the following sauce:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. cream

Cook in double boiler for 10 minutes. Serve hot.
