CUSTARD BREAD PUDDING 
5 eggs, lightly beaten
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. lemon extract
1 qt. milk (4 c.)
5 slices buttered bread, cut into 1/4's
Cinnamon and nutmeg
Butter

Beat eggs until light and mix with sugar, vanilla, lemon extract and milk. Butter a casserole or 9 x 13 inch pan. Cut buttered bread into quarters and arrange in bottom of pan. Pour mustard mixture over bread. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and nutmeg. Dot top with butter.

Bake at 425°F for 30-35 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Bread will rise to top and become nicely browned and crusty.
