CLOUDS AT SUNRISE 
6 egg whites
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 c. vanilla wafers, crushed
1 c. pecans
1 lg. Cool Whip
2 cans cherries

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar, cream of tartar, vanilla wafers and pecans. Grease 12 3/4 x 9 inch glass pan. Pour mixture into pan. Bake for 15 minutes until light brown. Let cool completely, then spread with Cool Whip. Top with cherries.
