MOTHER'S BOILED CUSTARD 
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs, separated
2 c. milk
2 tbsp. flour
Pinch of salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 pt. cream, whipped

Combine dry ingredients, add egg yolks and mix well. Add 1/2 cup milk and stir well. Place over boiling water and begin to heat. Add remainder of milk slowly. After mixture thickens, add vanilla and let cool. Beat egg whites and fold into cooked, cooled custard. Top with whipped cream.
