GINGER COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening (I use butter and Crisco type shortening, both)
1/4 c. Gold Label Molasses
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 c. flour

Mix all ingredients together. Make into small balls. Roll in white sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Grease pan lightly. WATCH THEM THEY BURN EASILY.
