MACARONI CASSEROLE 
1 c. macaroni
4 slices bacon
1 med. onion, sliced thin
1 qt. canned tomatoes (or 1 lg. can)
Salt to taste

Cook macaroni and fry bacon. Butter a large baking dish (use 3-quart size so it will not run over). Put a layer of macaroni, then a layer of tomatoes, onion, salt and bacon that has been crumbled. Dot with butter. Repeat another layer of each until all ingredients are used.

Take most of the juice from the tomatoes and pour over all so that it will be good and moist, not dry. Top with cracker crumbs and butter. Cover for first 20 minutes. Remove lid and continue baking 10 minutes more. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
