3 c. flour
1 1/2 c. salt
6 tsp. cream of tartar
3 c. water plus food color
3 tbsp. cooking oil

Mix dry ingredients together. Separately mix wet ingredients together. Blend both batches, then stir over low heat until it forms a ball. (This may take 5 to 10 minutes.) Knead a bit and let cool. Store in a covered plastic container.
