REFRIGERATOR PICKLES 
4 c. sugar
1/2 c. pickling salt
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1 1/3 tsp. turmeric
4 c. vinegar

Boil syrup about 5 minutes. Let get cold.

Slice cucumbers (at least 1/4 bushel) and 3 medium onions. Pack in jars and cover with cold syrup. Do not seal but keep lids on to hold flavor. Store in refrigerator. Will keep a year or more.
