WHOLESOME BROWNIES 
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/3 c. butter
1 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
1/4 c. wheat germ
1/3 c. nonfat dry milk
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
2 eggs
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp. white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

In top of double boiler melt chocolate chips and butter on low heat; remove from heat; stir until smooth; set aside. In medium bowl combine oats, wheat germ, dry milk, baking powder, salt and nuts; set aside. In large bowl beat eggs, then mix in brown sugar, white sugar and vanilla until mixture is thick. Stir in melted chocolate mixture; fold in oat mixture until blended. Pour batter into a greased 8 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until top is crisp but toothpick comes out slightly moist. Cool completely before cutting.
