WHOLESOME BROWNIES | |
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips (1 c.) 1/3 c. butter 1 scant c. oatmeal (quick cooking, rolled oats) 1/4 c. wheat germ 1/3 c. nonfat dried milk 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt, if desired 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 2 eggs 1/4 c. packed brown sugar 2 tbsp. white sugar 1 tsp. vanilla Melt chocolate chips and butter. Combine oats, wheat germ, dry milk, baking powder, salt and nuts. Beat eggs, sugars and vanilla until thick. Stir in chocolate mixture and fold in oats. Blend and pour into greased 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. |
