TRI LEVEL BROWNIES 
BOTTOM LAYER:

1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. quick oatmeal
1/2 c. brown sugar
6 tbsp. butter, melted

MIDDLE LAYER:

1 square chocolate
4 tbsp. butter, melted
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
2/3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts

BOTTOM LAYER: Mix together 1/2 cup flour, the soda and salt. Mix with rolled oats and brown sugar. Stir in melted butter. Pat mixture in 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

MIDDLE LAYER: Combine chocolate, melted butter, and sugar. Add egg and beat well. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk and vanilla to chocolate mixture. Fold in nuts. Spread over baked layer and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes more.

Spread with favorite chocolate frosting.
