CRANBERRY BARS 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. quick cooking oats
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. finely shredded lemon peel
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 (16 oz.) can whole cranberry sauce
1/4 c. nuts, finely chopped

In large mixing bowl, stir together flour, oats, brown sugar, lemon peel and baking soda. Stir in melted butter and mix thoroughly. Reserve 1 cup for topping. Pat remaining oat mixture into ungreased 12 x 7 1/2 x 2" pan. Bake in 350 degrees oven 20 minutes. Stir nuts into reserved oat mixture. Carefully spread cranberry sauce atop baked crust. Sprinkle nut oat mixture on top of cranberry sauce. Lightly pat oat mixture into cranberry sauce. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes more or until top is golden. Cool in pan or wire rack. Cut into bars. Can be frozen.
