SUSAN'S CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Put above in bowl. 1 c. water 1/2 c. oil 4 tbsp. cocoa

Heat to boil while stirring constantly. 1/2 c. buttermilk or sour cream 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 tsp. red food color

Mix together soda and buttermilk or sour cream.

Pour hot mix into dry mixture and mix well. Add eggs while hot. Add vanilla, color and sour cream with soda. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees in 9 x 13 inch pan.

FROSTING:

1 lb. box powdered sugar
1/4 lb. butter
1/4 c. milk
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. red color
1 c. nuts

Heat in pan until well blended. Pour on hot cake.
