OLD - FASHIONED CHOCOLATE BREAD
PUDDING
 
Put 3 cups sweet milk on stove, add 1 cup white sugar and 1/2 stick butter. While this is coming to a boil, put 3 tablespoons cocoa and 3 tablespoons flour in bowl. Add 3 egg yolks. (Save whites for meringue.) Add enough milk to make a smooth paste. Beat until no lumps are left. When milk boils, add cocoa mixture slowly, boil until mixture begins to thicken. (Will get thicker as it cools.) Add 3 to 4 cups biscuit crumbs (crumbled very fine). Make sure biscuits are homemade not refrigerated. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring. At this point, turn heat off, continue to stir until mixture stops boiling. Pour into bowl. Beat egg whites with sugar and vanilla making meringue. Put on pudding. Brown in oven.
